This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data when you visit or interact with the Site. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

  • User-generated content (e.g., comments, reviews, feedback).
  • Competition/offer entries (where applicable).

b) Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data: IP address, browser type/version, language, device identifiers, operating system, pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs, and general location (country/region).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 6.

c) Information from third parties

  • Analytics and advertising partners (e.g., aggregated engagement metrics).
  • Affiliate networks (e.g., anonymised conversion/attribution data).
  • Social platforms if you interact with our content there and their privacy settings allow sharing.

We do not intentionally collect special category data (e.g., health, religion) or precise geolocation.

3) How we use your data (purposes)

  • Provide and maintain the Site, including moderation of comments and prevention of abuse.
  • Communicate with you, including responding to queries and delivering newsletters you opted into.
  • Analytics and performance to understand readership, improve content, and fix errors.
  • Marketing including measuring the effectiveness of affiliate links and sponsored content (see Section 7).
  • Legal/Compliance obligations and to protect our rights (e.g., fraud prevention, enforcing terms).

4) Legal bases for processing (UK/EU GDPR, where applicable)

  • Consent (e.g., newsletters, non-essential cookies).
  • Legitimate interests (e.g., site security, basic analytics, content optimisation, responding to messages).
  • Contract (where we need data to provide requested services).
  • Legal obligation (where we must retain/process data by law).

You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 11).

5) When we share your data

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers/Processors: hosting, analytics, email delivery, form tools, security, and anti-spam services—only as needed to provide the Site.
  • Affiliate and advertising partners: to measure clicks, conversions, and comply with their reporting requirements (typically pseudonymous/aggregated).
  • Professional advisers and legal authorities where necessary to comply with law or protect our rights.
  • Business transfers: if we restructure, merge, or sell assets, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

All processors are bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms consistent with applicable laws.

6) Cookies & similar technologies

We use first- and third-party cookies, pixels, and local storage to:

  • keep the Site secure and functioning;
  • remember preferences;
  • perform analytics and measure performance;
  • attribute affiliate clicks and conversions;
  • (where used) support advertising or sponsored placements.

Where required, we will display a cookie banner seeking your consent for non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies via your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.

7) Analytics, ads, and affiliate links

  • We use analytics to understand aggregate Site usage and improve content.
  • Our articles may include affiliate links. If you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate partners may place cookies to attribute sales.
  • We clearly mark sponsored content where applicable.

8) International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data during such transfers.

9) Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy, including:

  • contact records and newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or your request is resolved, plus a reasonable period for compliance;
  • analytics data: per provider default/contractual periods;
  • comments and UGC: for the life of the content unless removal is requested or required.

10) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No online service can be 100% secure; please use the Site with appropriate care.

11) Your rights

UK/EU/EEA residents (including UK GDPR/GDPR)

You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You may have the right to know/access, correct, delete, and to opt out of “selling” or “sharing” personal information (as defined by CPRA). We do not knowingly sell personal information. If we engage in activities that constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising, you may opt out by emailing us (see below).

Exercising your rights

Email hello@luxryreviews.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity and, where permitted, may refuse or limit requests consistent with the law.

12) Children’s privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13) Do Not Track

Your browser may offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is currently no uniform industry standard for DNT; accordingly, we do not respond to DNT signals. We will update this Policy if standards emerge.

14) Third-party sites

The Site may link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites. Please review their privacy policies.

15) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Effective date”. Material changes may be highlighted on the Site.
